Kendall Gay, CFGD | PRC
Senior Qualitative Research Consultant

Kendall is a 19-year professional marketing researcher, all of which have been in healthcare. He now practices qualitative marketing research exclusively. Kendall started his career with an entry-level position at Spiller & Reeves research and has performed every function in a marketing research company from analyst to owner.
After climbing to a position as Vice President at Spiller & Reeves, Kendall decided to venture out on his own. He founded Kendall Gay Consulting, Inc. (KGC) on October 1, 1997.
Kendall has conducted literally thousands of focus groups and interviews face-to-face, over the phone and on the Internet. Patients, doctors, nurses, ancillary health care professionals, and health care executives are just some of the respondent populations he has worked with. Kendall has extensive experience in pharmaceuticals, medical devices and healthcare communications, from launch to re-positioning, licensing & acquisition to employee issues.
Kendall graduated cum laude from the University of South Florida in 1990 with a BA in Advertising and a concentration in psychology. He is a member of the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA), the American Marketing Association (AMA), the Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Group (PMRG), the Association of Qualitative Research, and the Pharmaceutical Business Intelligence and Research Group (PBIRG).

Simon Easton
Senior Qualitative Researcher / International Research Coordinator

Simon has worked in the market research industry for more than 20 years. He has conducted research – both qualitative and quantitative – on 5 continents of the globe. Based in London, Simon manages all KGC projects involving native language moderating outside the US market. He has developed an extensive network of qualitative research consultants around the globe with whom KGC works closely. Pharmaceutical and healthcare research has been a focus for Simon, and for the past several years, he has collaborated with KGC on numerous projects. He has organized research among physicians, surgeons and patients in all the major European markets, South America, Japan, Thailand, Hong Kong, and Australia.
Simon’s own market research consultancy, Easton Research Associates (ERA), caters to the need for coordinated global market research among major, blue-chip multi-nationals including IBM,Nike, Mercedes, Mars, and Nokia. Healthcare clients for whom Simon has regularly worked include SmithKline Beecham, Pfizer, Ethicon, Medeva Pharma, and Shire.
Simon has coordinated international studies on brand imagery, advertising pre-testing, brand positioning & development, and new product / technique evaluation, to name a few. He is a Full Member of the Market Research Society (UK) and ERA is a member of ESOMAR. Each year, Simon finds time to join Kendall in Daytona, Florida for the Daytona 500.

India Crain
Project Manager, Researcher

India is an up-and-coming qualitative researcher. She handles web presence initiatives, project-related tasks including recruiting and logistics and is also a RIVA-trained moderator, having conducted interviews with Psychiatrists, Psychiatric Nurses, Cardiologists, Pediatricians, Gastroenterologists, Dermatologists, and General Practitioners.
While learning the craft of moderating, India has gained research experience in pharmaceutical marketing, medical devices, and product development, among other subjects. She has worked with Allergan, Centocor, Janssen, and Ortho-McNeil-Janssen Pharmaceuticals in exploratory/unmet needs research, pre-launch positioning, growth, and in optimizing profit potential.
A native of Texas, she holds a B.B.A. in Marketing with a minor in Computer Information Systems from Tarleton State University. She is a member of the Pharmaceutical Marketing Research Group (PMRG), the Qualitative Research Consultants Association (QRCA), and the Pharmaceutical Business Intelligence and Research Group (PBIRG).
India is a travel enthusiast. She especially appreciates Chinese language and culture, and her favorite travel experience was a summer abroad in China, where she ate mystery meat from a street vendor, climbed the Great Wall, and mastered the art of using chopsticks.
